Jacobean Maritime Route - Arousa and Ulla River
This historic route takes you coursing through coastal and river waters. Legend has it that the remains of the St. James Apostle were sailed into Galicia through the Ría de Arousa and up the Ulla River to the Roman city, Iria de Flavio, (now known as Padrón).

The coasts of the Ría de Arousa boast a broad range of scenery and historic heritage. Both shores are lined with beaches, capes and coves, and studded with industrious hamlets, seafaring and fishing villages, and dotted with farming communities.
